Personal Testimony of Divine Healing
I want to give God the glory for removing a growth from my face. The same color as my skin, the growth had been on my face for over 5 years. It started very small but grew gradually over the years. The rate of growth increased, and it was large enough (larger than a pencil eraser and raised) that I needed to be careful while shaving so I didn’t cut it. I was not very concerned about it. It wasn’t red or sore, or very noticeable.
In November of 2019, my wife became concerned about it and encouraged me to visit a doctor to have it removed. I didn’t consider it a sickness, disease, or affliction, so I had not made it a priority in prayer. I told my wife that I wanted to trust God to heal it.
I thought this would be a great opportunity for God to show His power to answer prayer. This was not a serious need, maybe just vanity about my looks. Would God answer this desire, or should I just go to the doctor? I started to pray about what to do. I wanted to trust God. If I had a doctor remove it, I wondered if it might discourage another saint’s faith. What about the saints trusting God for their afflictions and diseases? I was trying to decide what I should do. I got some promises from God’s Word. I was praying about it earnestly and felt like God had heard my prayer.
The next Sunday, November 24th, I went to the altar at church, seeking counsel from my pastor. I shared my dilemma, my promises, and my concern for how it might affect the other saints if I had a doctor remove it. He encouraged me to trust God, to claim my promises, and be more earnest and fervent in prayer.
I had decided to fast for a meal the next day. When I awoke, I noticed the growth had bled a little in the night. This concerned me, as it had never done this before. I also noticed that the edges of the growth were loosening from the skin. The blood bothered me, but the loosening encouraged me. In the next few days, I woke up in the morning with more of the same. The growth slowly began to fall off! By the next week, it had completely fallen off, praise God!
I still had a sore spot on my face, but the growth was all gone. I then realized that while I had prayed at the altar with my pastor, I had not been anointed with oil as the Bible says to do (James 5:14-15, “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”). So, on Wednesday night, I sought prayer and was anointed with oil. I continued in earnest prayer and by Saturday, the red scabbed spot healed completely. In less than three weeks, God had completely removed the growth from my face.
…And then, God removed a second growth from my face.
As the previous growth was being healed, a growth that had been on my right eyelid started to grow larger. I would occasionally notice it in the corner of my vision.
In early January I earnestly prayed and asked God to remove it and heal me. I was anointed with oil and received prayer from the elders. I again claimed the same promises for the removal of the first growth: Luke 17:6, “And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.” Mark 11:23-24, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 9:23, “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” It started to look worse and became tender to the touch. I continued to pray and expect my healing. On January 30, over half of the growth fell off, and the rest was completely gone within two weeks. Praise God for His wonderful healing power! I just want to praise and thank Him for the answered prayer. To God be all the glory. I am thankful for the opportunity to trust God to heal me. †
